Filing a Complaint

Local Rule 2.170. Concerns

  • Judges and Subordinate Judicial Officers Concerns regarding judges and subordinate judicial officers must be submitted in writing, except where oral submissions may be permitted by Rule 10.703 of the California Rules of Court. Each concern will be considered carefully, and a written response will be issued. Written concerns must be signed, include an address where the court's response can be sent, and addressed to the Presiding Judge, P.O. Box 431, Martinez, CA 94553. Concerns about judges and subordinate judicial officers may not be submitted via email.
  • Court Employees and Services Concerns regarding court services or personnel, other than those related to a particular court case, must be submitted in writing. Each concern will be considered carefully, and a written response will be issued.

Lost and Found

Please contact Court Administration as soon as possible at 925-608-2700 if you have had an item misplaced at the Court. All unclaimed items placed in the Court’s Lost & Found will be discarded after 10 days.

Public Information Officer

The Public Information Officer coordinates news releases and other publications for the media and public and responds to all requests for judicial administrative records. The Public Information Officer cannot answer questions about individual court cases. Please follow the link above for information on records requests, media requests to record hearings, and contacting the Public Information Office

Financial Services

The Financial Services Division is responsible for budgeting, accounting, purchasing and contract administration, and collecting court-ordered debt.

Budgeting: The Contra Costa Superior Court submits budgeted salaries and benefits schedules, baseline budgets, quarterly revenue collection reports, and quarterly financial statements to the Judicial Council of California. Please visit the Trial Court Budget Information site for copies of these reports.


Accounting: If you are a Court vendor, service provider, or employee and have questions about your invoice, demand, or reimbursement request, please e-mail AccountsPayable@contracosta.courts.ca.gov
