Jury Reporting Instructions

Find the GROUP number and Reporting date on your Summons, then:

1. Before your jury service date, ask your employer if you should report to work if your group is assigned to "telephone standby."
    
2. Call the court location listed on your summons after 5:00 pm on the day before you are instructed to appear.(NOTE: Information for a Monday jury date will be available after 5:00 pm Friday and throughout the weekend.)

Follow the instructions for your group number and reporting date, time and location. The reporting message will tell you either that:

• You must report as directed on your Summons (see a sample of Summons); or
• You must call again because you are on “telephone standby”; or
  • If your group has been put on “telephone standby,” you must call the appropriate phone number between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.(see list above)and follow the reporting instructions on the phone message. You may have to report for jury service that afternoon. 
• Your group has been asked to report to another court location; or
• Your group has been excused from jury service.
  
  • (This means you will not have to serve on a jury again for 12 months.)
